Hello champions! Welcome to another edition of High Fives. Today we are gonna rank the 5 best leadership events. If you’ve been following along you know what this is all about so let’s dive in.
United We Stand
I have been growing more fond of this card as time goes on. It is a 0 cost card and It can heal up to 3 characters 1 health each for just the card. This is by far the best card we have seen so far that scales off the villain stage number. If you are playing any type of avengers deck where you want your allies to have some retention on the board this is a card I think you should look at. It allows you another activation of up to 3 allies!
Make the Call
Heres another 0 cost and I don’t think there’s anything I can say about this card that hasn’t been said. It was a staple early on and is still in decks. Although it sees some less play due to other ways to recur allies, this is still the best one I think. You can pull allies from other players discard piles. No other card that I’m aware of allows you to do that. Great card still!
Get Ready
Here’s another one that’s a 0 cost and i don’t think I have anything new to talk about with. Been a staple since day 1. The ability to get extra uses out of allies is very strong. I especially love it on big bursty allies like Goliath or a loaded up Yondu! Allies are the strongest cards in the game. Anything you can do to get extra uses out of them is premium.
Strength in Numbers
Would you look at that, it’s another 0 cost leadership event. I think there’s a pattern here..If you know anything about me it’s that I like card draw and big bursty damage. Strength in numbers allows you some of the best card draw in the game. Potentially drawing six cards! Yea that takes some set up but it’s not hard to draw 3 cards off of SiN. Setting up more combos and better plays for you. Great card. I will say the amount of wide SiN decks is getting tiresome but you can’t argue the strength of strength in numbers.
Sneak Attack
Breaking the mold of overpowered 0 cost leadership events we have a 1 cost! Sneak Attack is the bees knees. Cheating out big allies for a big turn is very satisfying. Sneak Attack into Goliath use his ability and ready him a few times to get those damage numbers off. The discarding at the end of phase can be negated by other cards and effects you can use to kamikaze your allies. There’s a whole new(er) leadership archetype around it. Even without the kamikaze leadership sneak attack is still good if you want to use the beefy bois!
That’s it for this iteration. Hope you enjoyed. Thanks for stopping by. Thanks for hall of heroes, which is where i grabbed the card images. And as always, stay scheming champions!
