What’s up Chanpions?! Hope everyone is swell today. Today I want to continue my journey with High Fives ally focused lists. Today we are on Leadership. There’s lots of good allies in this aspect and it took me longer to narrow down my five here more than other aspects. Let’s jump right in.
5.Yondu
Yondu is the most expensive ally at 4 cost and I was really torn between Yondu and Hawkeye (Clint) for this 5 spot. Ultimately I went with Yondu because he’s the focus of my most recent leadership deck (deck build article coming soon). He’s the best of the leadership Voltron allies, because he doesn’t take consequential damage and avoids retaliate damage it’s really easy to keep him on the board and not focus so much on ally healing. Give him a few upgrades and he’s hitting for 4 with overkill and ranged multiple times a turn every turn!
4.Adam Warlock
I really enjoy this ally and I think he’s maybe the most under appreciated ally in the game right now. His cost and health are good at 3/3. Now his 1 thwart and 1 attack aren’t the greatest but his ability is really strong and really good. After you use Adam you discard a random card from your hand (which you can game easily to discard the card you want) and you get 1 of 3 very strong effects. Healing/thwarting/or attacking for 3 on top of his base stats is incredibly strong and makes him really versatile. It might seem like a resource dump for his ability but when you compare it to ally upgrades, you aren’t ever getting +3 on any stats. It really pushes him.
3.Goliath
Anybody that knows me knows I love to swing for huge chunks of damage. Bursty or rush decks is where I’m at home and Goliath is the best burst damage ally leadership has. He’s also the best closer they have access to. He’s only gotten better with stuff like sneak attack and command team. You can build with him a couple ways now but the ability to swing for 5 multiple times a turn and recur him to do it again is insanely powerful. He’s just so good.
2. Kaluu
If there’s anything I like more than dealing large chunks of damage, it’s drawing cards and fixing my hand and Kaluu let’s me do that. He’s cheap at 2 cost, and he allows me to pick an event from the top 5 cards in my deck. Being able to select an event I need to deal with whatever board state I’m in is really key. I just can’t say anything bad about kaluu. He’s my new homie .
1.Maria Hill
I mean what’s there to say that hasn’t been said. This is the most efficient and insanely absurdly good ally in the game and she only gets better and more player counts. You can consistently recur her round after round to draw cards for your whole squad all game. Oh and she thwarts for 2, she provides insane and unmatched value as an ally
