High Fives: Aggression Cards, But Not Allies

by BananaCrapshoot

Hello champions, I’m considering my next run through High Fives, where I use all kinds of subjective and personally biased reasons for doing my own rankings of the High Five best cards in a certain area of the game. This time is Aggression cards, but not allies, allies will get their own list at some point. Now let’s dive in.

Toe to Toe

Now Toe to Toe is a sometimes controversial card, but it has lots of great payoff and utility. It’s one of the most efficient damage dealing cards in the game but comes at the cost of being attacked. Well good thing we have access to stuns, combo’d with cards like drop kick or other cards that stun the villain, webbed up, mockingbird, etc.. we get basically a free 5 damage for 2 cards.

Clobber

Clobber is a newer card and I went back and forth on it since it’s just aggression haymaker, which haymaker doesn’t see play. But the fact it bounces back to hand makes it really solid, you can play it, it comes back, and you can use it as a resource for something else, so it’s really a 1 cost 3 damage event since the card will come back to hand. I’ve really been digging it.

Into the Fray

In aggression we like dealing damage and we like wiping minions off the board, the one thing we lack at most times is threat removal. Well into the fray works right in our board control minion smashing gameplan while at the same time giving us access to threat removal. If you are playing aggression, odds are this is finding a spot in your deck.

Moment of Triumph

This card can pair with lots of cards that deal big damage to heal you. Having access to a healing is great since then we don’t have to flip to AE, reducing threat as a result and allowing us to keep the damage output up since we won’t have to waste a turn recovering. Another card that’s in more aggro decks than not.

Drop Kick

Now I don’t run drop kick in every deck, but I still think it’s the best non ally aggro card right now. It only deals 4 damage for 3 cost, you gotta pay all physical resources for it, but gives us a stun and draws us a card. This is just a great overall card. Stuns are great and card draw is great snd this piece sets up other cards and other plays for you to make.

That’s it for this one thanks for checking it out. Stay scheming champions!
