Hello champions. I hope everyone is doing wel and enjoying the springtime that is upon us. I haven’t done a deckbuild article in a hood bit of time so I thought I’d bring one to you I have really been enjoying.
the deck is a Captain America Leadership deck focused on the shield synergy cards. I will show the list then we can go through some choices.
there are a few main reasons I chose Captain America for this build. one being he has shield traits on his alter ego side and his signature agent 13 ally is also shield trained. Another is his hero kit is universally good and he can sure up any weaknesses that may prevent themselves against certain scenarios.
the main goal of the deck is to get sky destroyer down early and get a lot of free damage off playing shield cards. We can extend the value of this with regroup and rapid response so we can play our allies more often and consistently to get consistent sky destroyer Damage.

Now let’s look at the list
Allies:
Dum Dum Dugan - he is an expensive ally at 5 cost but we have some ways to reduce this cost. Captain America’s alter ego ability allows us to play our next ally for 1 less, Helicarrier reduces the cost of the next card we play, and you can combine these with a use of a government liason and super soldier serums to get him out at a greatly reduced cost. He’s been my main target late game due to the amount of shield cards we will have in play you can get him easily to a 5 atk/thwart and with our gameplan to regroup or rapid response our shield allies into play we can close games quickly.
maria hill- our lone leadership ally, she’s universally great. Thwart and card draw.
mockingbird- another solid staple and all these allies are made better by the sheer volume of shield support we are running
Nick fury- he is a boss monster in this deck, you can draw, you can close with damage, he can block. he will hit the table a lot. In solo games he’s a regroup target so we can play him every round, in multiplayer there is some flexibility where you can block, rapid response then block with him again and then regroup if you need the extra meat shield.
Supports:
Avengers Mansion- extra card draw to ensure we can play our boss monsters late game
command team- a good way to ready our allies to get more uses out of them so
government liason- economy card to reduce all of our shield card costs
helicarrier- more economy!
Regroup- we are light On allies so we need ways To make sure we are playing them round after round
sky destroyer- this is our gimmick. We want to rapid response and regroup our allies as many times as possible to get the ping damage off of sky destroyer
Triskelion- get more allies in play
upgrades:
rapid response - we need to play these shield allies more!
